The Beginning

V-Excel Educational Trust is registered as a Public Charitable Trust in Chennai and develops its vision and mission under the guidance of a sound founding team.

Academy for Teaching Excellence (ATE)

The Academy for Teaching Excellence (ATE) begins its first training program on methods used to teach children with Multiple Disabilities and Specific Learning Disabilities.

Kaleidoscope Learning Center (KLC)

Kaleidoscope Learning Center (KLC), our special school, is set up as a lab school for teachers. Children with conditions such as Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and ADD/ADHD are enrolled.

V-Excel Remedial Center (VRC)

The V-Excel Remedial Center (VRC) is born out of a rising demand for supplemental teaching for school-going children with learning disabilities and children who were not admitted to regular schools.

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA)

A young V-Excel is chosen by the Government of India to run the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) / Education for All - program in ten blocks of Villipuram district of Tamil Nadu.

Bridges Learning Academy (BLA)

Bridges Learning Academy (BLA), a pull-out school program for slow learners and children with dyslexia, is initiated to address the serious concern of academically low-performing students.

ESVI Sarada Foundation

V-Excel teams up with ESVI Sarada Foundation for using their premises for additional services such as Early Intervention and Rehabilitation.

Vocational Training Unit (VTU)

The Vocational Training Unit (VTU) is set up. It focuses on developing suitable employment opportunities for young adolescents with mental challenges.

Early Intervention (EI)

The Early Intervention (EI) program for children between 0-7 years having developmental delays is launched. It is intended to provide a proactive step for early remediation.

Counseling & Assessments

The Counseling and Assessments unit begins operations. It reaches internal clients and the larger community of corporate employees facing parenting and relationship issues.

Workshops & Training

The demand for Workshops and Training for different target groups like teachers, parents, doctors and professionals increases signficantly as V-Excel's credibility is established firmly.

Short-term Workshops

V-Excel offers many short-term courses in Special Education. The ATE Diploma course is accredited by the Rehabilitation Council of India.

Waldorf Principles

Kaleidoscope Learning Center starts a conscious integration of Waldorf principles with conventional special education and witnesses encouraging outcomes.

SSA Success

V-Excel's work in the Rural Outreach Program (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan) is seen as the one of the most effectively-run NGO programs.

International Training

Satellite Center in Solapur

Inaugural function of V-Excel Educational Trust's Satellite Learning Centre at Solapur, for Specially abled children with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and with other Developmental Delays.

Sharada

Under the aegis of the Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham, V-Excel moves to its new premises, Sharada, in R.A. Puram, Chennai.

Partnership with Wipro Cares

V-Excel has been working with Wipro Cares in implementing the Neev Intervention Program (NIP). This program is targeted at 2-10 year old children who come from underprivileged backgrounds, and are 'at risk' or have developmental delays/disabilities. V-Excel provides expert resources and works closely with schools for maximizing children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development.

Abhyasa Centre for Rehabilitation and Empowerment

V-Excel Educational Trust and Kinchitkaram Trust announce the launch of a joint project called Abhyasa Centre for Rehabilitation and Empowerment in Srirangam.

Wassup On Demand

V-Excel Educational Trust and Wassup OnDemand joined hands under a Public-Private partnership program where V-Excel will use its understanding of children with special needs and Wassup will engage and train them with skills in the vocational space related to laundry and dry-cleaning.

Café Samarth

To commemorate World Autism Awareness Day, V-Excel launched Café Samarth, a unique initiative aimed at converting interest in cooking and hospitality into a possible livelihood opportunity for persons with Autism and other special needs.

CSR Partnership with Hexaware

V-Excel launches its Printing and Documentation Initiative, at its Mylapore center with CSR support from Hexaware Technologies Ltd., and is aimed at enhancing V-Excel's vocational programs.

MoU with Annamalai University

V-Excel signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Annamalai University to offer distance education Diploma Programs in Inclusive Education, Vocational Training and a Post-graduate Diploma in Multiple Disabilities.

Association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan

V-Excel extended its association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan by inaugurating the BVB Centre on Thanikachalam Road, T. Nagar, Chennai to host a Parent Resource Centre and to provide counselling and psychotherapy Services for the general public and the geriatric population.

GuideStar India Gold Transparency Award

V-Excel is conferred the GuideStar India Advanced Level - Gold Certification Award, a prestigious recognition for its commitment to accountability and openness in the non-profit sector.

MoU with Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corp

MoU with Tech Mahindra Foundation

V-Excel signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Tech Mahindra Foundation to 'provide education and skill-based training to teachers to enable them to effectively educate children with disabilities in different service programs'.

Outreach Remedial Center, Pollachi

The Outreach Remedial Center is inaugurated in Pollachi. It will provide remedial services for school going children coming from lower income families from the rural and semi urban areas who have been assessed with Learning Difficulties.

Rotary Global Grant

V-Excel receives the Global Grant by Rotary Club Madras East(RCME) along with the Rotary Club of Romford and Rotary Club of Cataraqui-Kingston.

Spice Space

V-Excel launches 'Spice Space' - a spice grinding and packaging unit in its Mylapore campus. This is done with the support of L&T Construction.

ISO 9001:2015 Certification

V-Excel Educational Trust is now ISO 9001:2015 certified for 'Providing Lifespan services for persons with cognitive and intellectual disabilities with an aim of promoting social inclusion'.

Anandam Learning Center
