Dr. KamaliOpen Day 2017
I was struck by the involvement, self-confidence and poise of the children at their various tasks. Above all, they appeared calm and radiated an inner joy. That they could do this on a day crowded with visitors gives me hope about their ability to do this in the outside world too. It was truly eye-opening. As always, all thanks and heartfelt love to our dear teachers for making all this happen
Chinmay's MotherGood evening, it was fantastic open day. Thanks for Vasanthy aunty and team for delicious dish served to us. Overall it was interesting attending class lot of information gathered. Sorry one more thing, ragi kanjhi was really yummy which is healthy served to us yesterday by Shashi Mam,. Yesterday's open day was really fabulous and it has made me think on several aspects how to go about certain things.
Akshay Sundar's FatherMind blowing Open Day.. it was very precious watching all the kids and their hard work.. Hats off to all the teachers.. EVER proud of you all. Stepping, step by step away from my worries about the question how wl b the future to my child? I feel that each child had given "more" space for their independent working on skills at school "less" independent at home keeping the kids over protective. This Wat I learnt as a moral for today. Thank u all my Dearest Teachers and Children for giving a strong oath and hopes.
Zubair's MotherAnnual Day 2017
Yes did feel the all the different emotions that were portrayed in stage. there was tightness in the air during the hyena dance. A great celebrating lightness when Simba was held high. a curious much much during the Simba nala dance .. a confused air in hakuna matata... fear during the hyena fight and the stampede... a sudden waft I lightness whenever zazu came in and a very calming air giving comfort when rafikis came in...great wear the pathos when kutti Simba says help...anybody...this alternating energies emnated from the cast.... In my 47 years of theatre going ...something similar to this that personally I have experienced only is in one of Cho Ramaswamy's Tamil satire...muhamad bin tuqlak. Hats off to the children. Hats off to the production ..I bow to the learning we have got from this.. feel humbled by the divine thts envelopes us all." "Brilliant performance by the kids. Hats off to all of you." ..

-Sudha Karthick"Just wanted to quickly.. "write in and say many many thanks. thanks for inviting us for the show today. i dont know what i was expecting, but i surely wasn't prepared for what i saw. i am not exaggerating when i saw that i choked up three or four times during that one hour. i seriously bit my lip to stop myself from tearing up. it was one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen on stage. truly. seeing the play today reminded me of the magic of the stage which i haven't experienced for the longest time. seriously moved and still reeling from it. please do convey my warmest regards and utmost respect to puja and neha. it was a remarkable experience. the energy of what came at us from the stage and the energy generated by the audience in return was nothing short of electric. lovely music, lovely voice overs full of warmth and love and humour, mind blowing sets and props. the aesthetic quality was truly par excellence. the soft lights, the simple costumes, even the credits slide show was done so beautifully. it is a rare event when such love flows through a space and thank you for inviting me to come be a part of it. really at a loss for words right now. heartiest congratulations to all of you and really looking forward to making this an annual event . One common thing that everyone seemed to have said is thank you for inciting and be witness to something so divine!!! And we feel blessed! So Neha Puja and the teachers who worked hard to bring the true spirit alive on stage!" ..

Akshaya's MomMy note is to specially congratulate Dr. Vasudha Prakash and her team on the admirable work that is being done for children with special needs by V-Excel. We have been associated with V-Excel for over six years now and have been closely watching your work in the field of disabilities. We have also seen numerous projects for the differently-abled in the course of our work. V-Excel's positive attitude and focused action are two characteristic traits that we feel will ensure the best is given to the disadvantaged population. Your thoughtfulness shows in the wide range of services you provide, so that the parents do not have to run pillar to post, and can get all therapies and interventions under one roof. We are amazed at the work that goes in to ensure an all-round development of every special individual. We have seen the beautiful poetry by children written on the greeting cards we bought from your NGO. We have also been invitees at your events such as Annual Day and Sports Day and seen what perseverance your teachers must have while training children for whom communication and social skills are a huge challenge. Our sincere salute to your team! We are extremely proud to be V-Excel partner and look forward to supporting your cause for years to come.
K. Ananth, President, Rotary Club of Madras EastChristmas Play
I always wanted to write a sincere note of Thanks to V-Excel for the services been rendered to the children with Autism and other special needs, specifically to my children. I felt compelled to write, especially after I recently saw the amazing Christmas play performed by all the children on 'Magic of Love'.
I find the educational approach followed by V-Excel very unique. The scope of educational plan executed by you brings in multi-dimensional development in the children, be it in emotional development, motor skills or academic skills.
What I like most in V-Excel is that "The School sees the children as a child, not looking at the disability. School teachers give complete freedom to children, that helps the children to move forward. Teacher clearly observes each child, understand them better and provide education customized to the child.
One factor for success could be that the School follows Waldorf education that's based on the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner. Main lessons are taught to children through Rhythm and movements. Rudolf Steiner emphasizes the role of imagination in learning. Teachers, by following Rhythmic movement and form drawing, facilitate the literary development in children, both in subject and mathematics.
Movement also improves the capability to speak better. I an seeing this in my son whose speech has improved to a great extent. I also feel the Practical training given to the children, especially on Farming, Carpentry, Cooking and Construction make them feel good as well as showing them path for future avenues to explore. Music is the healer and the way Music is taught or the music functions are organized by School are Therapeutic to the children. Each child enjoys the Music and they eagerly wait for Fridays. Diet food is the great beneficiary to children, I have noticed the adamancy of my daughter vanished once we start diet food.
I admire the way Teachers provide weekly progress and feedback about each child, which is in line with the plan agreed at the start of the year.
You have vision for the future of the children. The vocational training on Candle making, Car Wash, Cooking, Stitching, office skills and skills in hospitality, carpentry paves way next steps and to explore the hidden talent. Kausthub and Sreyas vocational centers are doing a wonderful job in showing the future path for young adults.
I appreciate the way social skills are developed in the children via Field Trips, Celebration of festivals, overnight trips, nature walk etc..
Last but not least a Forum for collective Thoughts, Views, Action of Parents Group DISHA is special about V-Excel and brings cohesiveness for collective feedback and future plan. Thanking You, The Teachers and Management for everything.
Theatre in any form requires courage..requires passion..requires commitment..requires involvement. It is as much content as intent. It is not as much following a script, it is more following your heart. This year Christmas came early for me. I saw a miracle happen. A magic created. I saw a special performance by some very special people. I saw a beautiful story being enacted. I have seen and applauded theater across the world in many languages in many forms and the Christmas pageant enacted by the students and staff of V-Excel school was right up there. The enthusiasm, the clever creativity, the involvement, above all the kindness and generosity, the sensitivity, the understanding as much as the sheer eagerness and happiness of each and every one of the participants was like being in the midst of something almost holy. In the light of those candles lit it seems there was a halo above every person assembled there. I have spent many an evening in my life in watching various art forms being performed. I have watched some all time greats perform. But that evening I spent watching a group of angels performing at Olcott campus ranks right up there. It was an evening that will remain with me for a long long time. There is nothing that human spirit and compassion cannot overcome. It is evenings like these that make this life meaningful, that make this living fulfilled. Kudos and pranams to everyone who brought that magic alive. The spirit of Christmas transcends religion. It is all about peace and joy and happiness in the heart. It speaks in the language of love. It speaks the word of God. I saw God that evening and it was as if i was watching something holy. I left feeling like I do after prayer. I left feeling blessed.

Hi! Hats off to you all. The show was amazing and wonderful. I felt so proud of our children when they performed on stage by themselves. The scene I liked the most was creation of fish and animals especially you and Ishi and the last dance. It is a bad luck for me not able to participate in the show.

My son Akshayanathan is studying in V-Excel for the past 4 years. The last four years I have witnessed tremendous changes in my son, all the credit goes to this excellent School. My son has emerged confident, assertive and has developed good communication skills. He displays good initiative and takes responsibilities. The school has not only focused on his learning, but also in transforming him to a confident person who is able to meet the requirements and challenges of day to day existence. He loves going to school and never wants to miss a day, which testifies the comfort level with his teachers and the extent to which teachers have understood him. The commitment and sincerity of the teachers are exemplary. They have moulded my son to adapt easily to life at school and home. It has been a whoilistic approach by the teachers, scheduling his activities both at home and school.. I am very happy that my son joined this excellent school and my best wishes for the school to excel further.
Elango, September 1,2013, ChennaiAs parents of a boy suffering from autism, we went through a very very bad phase during his initial days not knowing the type of intervention that needs to be given and not being clear on way forward. Added to our woes, our son was very hyperactive thereby restricting our experimentation on early intervention. We tried all possible treatments on him. It was only 5 years back, we learnt of V-Excel school and got our son admitted. We treat ourselves extremely lucky to find such a lovely school which has given such a fantastic environment and true devotion to each individual child. We have seen great improvement and development in our son. In fact all our relatives and friends circle find drastic improvement in him that makes us proud parents. We thank V-Excel school for the wonderful school curriculum catering to needs of various types of special children and various special programs arranged for parents. We as parents like the constant drive for improvement taken up by the school who are always open for any criticism and suggestions. We appreciate the amount of true dedication and hard work put in by each teacher every day especially during celebrations like school day, sports day, festival days etc. We many times wonder how these teachers are managing this having to attend so many special children at one time. We thank their recent initiative to look at various avenues for teenaged special kids in terms of training support and independent living conditions, which is a great concern for all similar parents since at the moment there is no such plans laid out in our country unlike USA. We hope our Government and Parents will extend full support to institutions like V-Excel for continuing with their good work and future plans to ensure our kids benefit in the long run. Hats off to V-Excel for not only benefiting our children, but also making life easier for we parents
V. Chandrasekhara Rao, September 1,2013, ChennaiOur Workshops
In my view, after attending this workshop this Trust's members work like a family. They are deeply attached to their special children. In short today, I really feel I should also be one of them. Thanks.
Anju Garg, September 13, 2014 ,ChennaiI believe that the information and experiences we got would help teachers become more effective and successful in helping those students with special educational needs. The teachers and all staff of V-Excel centre were helpful and kind to us. We are grateful for their generosity and hospitality given to us. I do hope that more teachers from our country get the opportunity to come and be trained here at this center. It's an ideal place for teacher training in Special Ed.
