Mrs. Jayanthi Vishwanath, Regional Head of VLC - Nashik , holds a Master of Philosophy and PG degree in Biochemistry.
She has worked in both corporate and academic sectors. During her tenure with V-Excel, Chennai, she worked as course co-ordinator for Diploma course in Special Education.
Her forte lies in teaching, planning, public relations and administration. As an answer to the V-Excel Management’s vision to develop satellite centers in small towns and cities of India in
service of the disability sector, she was instrumental in starting the first satellite center of V-Excel in Nashik,
Maharashtra. Periodically, she has been contributing articles for a column called “Exceptional Child” in Nashik Times,
a supplementary edition from “The Times of India” group.
Ms. Poorva Shinde has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Functional English. She has worked as a
Special Educator and remedial teacher in a reputed International school in Nashik. She is doing a Master’s program in
Psychology. Alongside, she is also pursuing a two-year certification course in dyslexia therapy from Maharashtra
Dyslexia Association. She is keen on developing art-based therapy for autistic children. She is an active theatre
participant and has bagged many prizes for the same. She is a profound learner and has learnt graphology, brain gym and
Clinical hypnotherapy.
Mr. Shripad Gholap holds a Bachoelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and a PG diploma in Sports Medicine. At V-Excel
he provides services to young children afflicted with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and other physical disorders.
He has keen interest in pediatric neurology and orthopedics. In the earlier part of his career, he delivered therapeutic
services to players of the National Cricket team. He is a fine exponent of classical vocal Hindustani music.
Ms. Archana Chandratre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Nagpur University and has worked
in Sancheti Institute of Orthopaedics. Since 1996, she has been working as a therapist in Jairam Hospital. She started
working with special children from 2002 and has done a basic course in Sensory Integration and Neurodevelopmental
therapy. Now she takes care of children affected with cerebral palsy, autism and ADHD.
Ms. Mansi Bhagwat holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She works as counseling and Assessment
Psychologist at Wisdom International School, Nashik. She does remedial teaching for children appearing for NIOS
examination. At V-Excel, she takes remedial classes for children with autism and Down’s syndrome.
Ms. Yeshoda Kalyankar holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and has undergone training program in
Rational Emotive Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. In addition to this she has undergone training to
develop communication skill. She has also worked as parent counselor. At V-Excel, she works with special children on
behavior modification.

V- Excel Learning Center, the first satellite wing of V-Excel Educational Trust was set up in April 2011 at
Nashik, Maharashtra, to provide inter-disciplinary care to children with developmental disabilities.
VLC Nashik helps children with a wide range of developmental disabilities including autism, mental retardation,
cerebral palsy, learning disability, sensory impairments, ADD/ADHD, language and communication disorders.
The services provided by VLC include Developmental Pediatric assessments, IQ Assessments, Psycho-educational
assessments, Sensory integration therapy, Neuro developmental therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy,
Behavior therapy, Remedial education and Parent counseling. These therapies and services are imparted on a one to
one basis. Nevertheless, the various professionals at VLC work as a team. Each professional works with the child
individually, but meets with the rest of the team to review and compare findings, and to come to joint decisions
with the family, on care and management of the child.
VLC is also involved in creating awareness, parent - training and advocacy through seminars and workshops.
