Mind Share Series

In the recent past, ATE has witnessed a rising demand from special educators, regular school educators, students and the corporate sector on diverse real-life issues impacting daily and professional living. Thus, ATE's Mind Share series of short-term and long-term courses was born, with the specific focus of expanding your knowledge base, developing and sharpening your existing skills, and increasing effectiveness in areas of your interest. The goal is to equip you individually and collectively for the future. 'Mind Share', literally means that—sharing a piece of our minds, for the peace of mind of our larger community.

"A multi-modal approach to training is followed through a variety of learning strategies such as lectures and presentations, group exercises and Interactive sessions, simulation and role plays, questionnaires, and handouts. The workshops are conducted by highly qualified professionals in their area of specialisation such as senior special educators, psychologists, therapists and corporate trainers," says Maria Josephine, Coordinator, ATE.

The course is open to regular school teachers, special education professionals, parents, students, corporate sector and public sector professionals, and for anyone interested in furthering the cause of education or those looking to build their individuality in any sphere of work and life. "As our next major project, we will initiate training for Corporation School Teachers on 'Inclusion & Identification of Disabilities' to sensitise them on these issues as it is a compulsory component of the PWD Act of 1995 and our education system. We are approaching the Mayor of Chennai Corporation to make this possible," explains Maria.
